Professional Water Softeners

Do you need large volumes of soft water?

High-flow water softeners for professional and industrial use

Think big with our high-flow water softeners, available with resin volumes ranging from 50 to 1,300 liters.

They can meet the needs of a small workshop or laboratory as well as those of a food processing plant, a hospital, or a large hotel.

Why use an industrial water softener?

Reducing water hardness on a large scale

An industrial water softener replaces the calcium and magnesium ions responsible for hardness with sodium ions. The treated water therefore has significantly reduced hardness.

This treatment helps limit limescale deposits in boilers, piping networks, and equipment that use large quantities of water.

Upstream of an RO system: softening can also help protect the membranes of an RO system when the feed water is very hard.

A few applications

  • Boiler rooms and boilers
  • Food and beverage
  • Hospitality and restaurants
  • Laboratories and healthcare facilities
  • Pre-treatment before reverse osmosis

What types of professional water softeners are there?

Single or duplex depending on your operating constraints

Standard configuration

Single water softener

It operates much like a home water softener, but with a much larger resin volume and flow rate to treat large quantities of water.

Uninterrupted

Duplex water softener

Our Duplex water softeners combine two columns to ensure continuous treatment.

Principle: while one column treats the water, the other can carry out its regeneration. The system is particularly well suited to needs requiring a continuous supply of softened water.

The main features of a professional water softener

In many regions and departments of France, tap water has a high lime content. It has a very distinctive taste. Although it is harmless to your health, it can dry out your skin and hair and promote scale buildup and deterioration in your household appliances. To avoid these problems, what better solution than a professional water softener?

A professional water softener and an industrial water softener use an exchanger, which is a type of resin. This resin is first charged with salt. When hard water mixes with the resin, an osmosis-type exchange (atoms and minerals) takes place: the salt replaces the calcium and magnesium in the water. After passing through the water softening system, this hard water becomes soft water.

This device has three main parts:

  •          a brine tank filled with water and salt
  •          a control unit that manages the entire water softener
  •          a resin tank that acts as an exchanger.

For water softener maintenance, simply recharge the exchanger when it runs out of salt. To do this, clean the resin to remove accumulated lime and magnesium (which are discharged into the wastewater). Then replace the salt resin in the brine tank.

There are generally two types of professional water softeners:

  •          Single high-flow water softener
  •          Uninterrupted Duplex water softener with 2 water softeners in 1, allowing larger volumes of water to be treated continuously

Installing a professional water softener: why is it worthwhile?

Hard water causes scale buildup. When lime and magnesium concentrations are too high and the water is exposed to temperatures of 60°C or above, a solid deposit known as scale forms. This deposit damages pipes and also clogs your plumbing system. It can also foul your household appliances (kettles, boilers, etc.), affecting their service life and efficiency. Hard water also has adverse effects on your skin and hair.

A professional water softener offers a solution to limescale. This device is designed for facilities with high water consumption. These may include community facilities, food processing plants, hotels, restaurants, and large businesses.

Installing a professional water softener: several tangible benefits

Purchasing this device for your business offers significant financial benefits, including:

  •          minimizing purchases of cleaning products
  •          maintaining / extending the service life of household appliances
  •          reducing your energy bill (pipes clogged with scale increase energy consumption by 10%).
