Economy Duplex Water Softener 250 to 1,000 Liters
Duplex Water Softeners
Water Softener Overview
This range of commercial water softeners can soften up to 10 m3 of water per hour, offering resin volumes from 2x215 to 2x500 liters to treat very high water hardness.
The main advantage of a Duplex model is that when one resin tank needs to regenerate, the other takes over. This keeps your water softener operational 24/7. Your water supply is never interrupted, and your water is always perfectly softened.
Water Softener Specifications
- Fiberglass-reinforced polyester tank
- Polyethylene brine tank with top lid
- Highly monospherical cation exchange resin for food-grade use
- Economy valve
TM74 Valve Specifications
|
- Made of Noryl - Inlet / outlet diameter: 2 inches - Operating pressure: 2 to 6 bars - Operating temperature: 4 to 35°C - Power supply: 230V - 12V / 50Hz - Counter-current regeneration - Maximum flow rate: 10 m3/h |

Caution : This valve’s flow rate is limited to 10 m3/h despite the large resin volume. This range of water softeners is therefore designed for high water hardness: 300°f (for the 2x500-liter model) at a flow rate of 10 m3/h or 600°f at 5 m3/h.
Economical Counter-Current Operation
We chose counter-current water flow for these models. This means that water flows upward through the resin to be softened instead of flowing downward as in a conventional water softener. This saves 45% in salt and water with each regeneration. A significant saving for a competitive business.

The largest Duplex models use 2 valves connected in parallel to optimize flow rate by using both tanks at the same time when neither is regenerating its resin. The 2 valves are connected by a supplied interlock cable to ensure they never regenerate at the same time.
