Robustos
The Robustos Mini: A blend of performance, quality, and ecology
This RO system is distinctive in being an eco-friendly, high-performance appliance, since it discards 1 liter of water for every 1 liter of purified water, without compromising the quality of the water that comes out. It has the advantage of having no tank and of being made from high-quality materials.
If you would like to know more about the Robustos Mini, do not hesitate to view its product page.
Maintenance and filtration stages
- PP filter: retains all particles larger than 5 microns
- GAC filter: granular activated carbon filter that removes most polluting particles and effectively reduces chlorine.
- Membrane: at this stage, the membrane purifies the water by removing all particles larger than 0.0001 micron
- CTO filter: ensures a neutral taste for the RO water by filtering out organic contaminants, pesticides, and other chemicals
OPTIONAL:
- 1 Remineralization filter: this is an option that lets you add good minerals essential to human health and enjoy a delicious taste thanks to coconut carbon.
Consumables replacement frequency
We recommend replacing all filters every year for optimal performance, and the membrane every 2 to 3 years depending on the hardness of your water.
You can also find on our site a kit to maintain your Robustos Mini RO system for 3-4 years.
The Robustos RO system is a high-quality direct-flow RO system with low wastewater output. This appliance combines high efficiency and perfect filtration, thanks in particular to its Ecosoft membranes. These are manufactured using DOW Filmtec films.
Robustos RO system: a robust, quality RO system
The Robustos RO system is an environmentally friendly appliance because it can discharge 1 liter of water for every 1 liter of purified water. It is a tankless device with an output of 60 liters per hour. The appliance is sturdy and durable, thanks in particular to its American-made FilmTec membrane.
As a water purifier, the Robustos RO system incorporates an ingenious solution that delivers a 1/1 ratio without compromising the purity of the water produced. A home reverse osmosis system typically has a wastewater to RO water ratio of 2/1. To achieve this, it has two 100GPD membranes in parallel and a third 100GPD membrane that recovers one-third of the water normally discharged. As a result, Robustos produces purer water.
Robustos RO system: the different filtration stages
To obtain quality water, the Robustos RO system performs several filtration stages:
– Stage 1: this stage uses the 10-inch PP filter, a sediment Robustos RO system filter made of polypropylene fibers. It is designed to trap all particles larger than 5 microns while protecting the RO system from sand, dust, etc. The PP filter must be replaced every 6 months or 2,500 L. This prevents clogging of the other pre-filters and the RO membrane.
– Stage 2: this stage uses a granular activated carbon filter. It traps most pollutant particles. It also traps chlorine, which is harmful to the RO membrane.
– Stage 3: this stage uses a Robustos RO system membrane. This is a filter consisting of 3 RO membranes designed to purify water, particularly by trapping particles larger than 0.0001 microns. This is the finest filtration available, thanks in particular to the Ecosoft membranes made from DOW films. The wastewater from the first 2 membranes is filtered by the 3rd to optimize efficiency.
– Stage 4: this stage uses the 10-inch CTO filter, which gives RO water a neutral taste while removing tastes and odors at the tank outlet. This filter traps organic contaminants, pesticides, and other chemicals that can alter the taste and smell of water. It must be replaced every 12 months or depending on how much you use your RO system.
Robustos RO system: benefits
Robustos has the advantage of having no tank. Powered by electricity, it provides a flow rate of 82 cl/min. It is manufactured using high-quality materials and comes with a 1-, 2-, or 3-way faucet. This home RO system operates without problems at hardness levels up to 40 °fH (French degrees).
Easy to maintain, it only requires regular replacement of the filter, filter cartridge, and membrane. Keep in mind that reverse osmosis maintenance is expensive. The Robustos RO system comes with complete maintenance kits for 2 years.
Buying an RO system for your home is a good investment: once it is installed, you never have to buy bottled water again. As a tap water purifier, it provides unlimited pure reverse osmosis water without the hassle of carrying packs of bottled water. The Robustos RO system also protects the environment by eliminating plastic bottle waste.
