Optimos (2020-2024)
A new version of the Optimos RO system is available on our site. As a result, we no longer sell the old version (for everyone who bought the model before November 2024).
Nevertheless, if you have the old model, don't panic: we still offer the consumables essential for its proper operation so that you can fully enjoy your machine.
Optimos RO system consumables (version before November 2024)
As a reminder, here is the list of all the required consumables:
- 1 x PCB filter cartridge: in this cartridge specially designed for the Optimos, you will find an activated carbon filter as well as a PP (polypropylene) filter, which filters sediment, suspended particles, chlorine, pesticides, and other organic elements.
- 1 x membrane cartridge: easily replaceable, this cartridge filters viruses, bacteria, salts, and minerals.
If you wish, you can add an optional remineralization cartridge, ideal for adding the best minerals for your body to your RO water (total minerals contained: 10 to 15 mg/l)
Maintenance and replacement of consumables
As for how often to replace the consumables, the PCB cartridge should be replaced every 2 to 4 years depending on use, and every 3 to 4 years for the membrane.
Why can the lifespan of consumables vary so much? The longevity of the filters depends on the quality of your water, that is, how hard it is. If your water hardness is above 25 °fH (French degrees), we recommend adding a water softener or a Scalex system to protect the membrane.
The Optimos RO system stands out for its compact, sleek design. This environmentally friendly device provides a simple way to get quality water from your faucet.
Optimos RO system: combining environmental benefits and design
Environmentally friendly, the Optimos RO system discharges only 1 liter of water for every 1 liter of RO water. It is designed to filter out waste, impurities, and other sediments, including pesticides. Easy to use, this 2-cartridge RO system can be installed in a cabinet or directly under your sink. It delivers a high production flow rate of 95 liters per hour.
Taking up little space, the Optimos RO system features a direct-flow reverse osmosis system. It combines all the benefits of conventional reverse osmosis. This appliance requires no storage tank to operate, allowing pure water production in real time.
The Optimos RO system's filtration process involves two stages:
- A first RO filter cartridge combining everything needed for pre-filtration: a polypropylene filter and activated carbon;
- A high-performance reverse osmosis membrane.
Optimos RO system: key benefits
Using an Optimos designer RO system offers many benefits:
- easy filter changes;
- a unique design and a powerful flow rate;
- removal of all contamination, whether bacterial or chemical;
- an appliance that takes up less space;
- a safer, more practical system, especially thanks to its own cartridge system;
- a more hygienic system thanks to the absence of a tank;
- no complicated assembly: just 3 tubes to connect to the machine;
- quality water produced quickly and in real time;
- an environmentally friendly and economical appliance: it pays for itself within one year for a family of 4 people;
- long filter life: 2 years for the PCB cartridge and 4 years for the RO membrane;
- an LED indicator for cartridge replacement;
- a DOW Filmtec membrane: the best brand internationally.
Optimos RO system: how do you replace the filters?
The Optimos RO system purifies tap water, removes many pollutants, and improves its taste. This appliance requires regular maintenance, particularly filter replacement. As consumables, RO system filters need to be changed regularly to maintain optimal filtration performance.
- PCB filter cartridge: this is an Optimos RO filter cartridge incorporating a carbon filter and a polypropylene filter in a single cartridge. It filters out sediments, suspended particles, chlorine, pesticides, and other organic substances. This cartridge needs to be changed every 2 years, but the manufacturer specifies a service life of 3 to 4 years under good operating conditions.
- RO membrane cartridge: easy to replace, this Optimos RO system membrane cartridge filters out viruses, bacteria, salts, and minerals. The RO membrane cartridge has a service life of 3 to 4 years.
The durability of these consumables depends largely on water quality. In fact, the membrane in a home RO system is very sensitive to limescale. Installing a water softener or, at a minimum, a Scalex system is recommended for hardness levels of 25 °fH (French degrees) or higher.
