Disinfection by chlorination

When the bacterial load is high, controlled upstream chlorine injection can help limit bacterial growth and membrane clogging. Dosing is performed using an ATHENA 2 AT-AM dosing pump.

25-micron pre-filtration

For water containing coarse debris such as soil, sand, or rust, a 25-micron pre-filter can be installed upstream to limit RO system fouling.

Limescale treatment with antiscalant dosing

For installations with high flow rates, an antiscalant can serve as an alternative to a water softener. It limits the formation of limescale crystals that could clog the membranes.

Specified average dose: 3 to 4 g/m³.

Chlorine treatment with bisulfite dosing

For installations with high flow rates, bisulfite dosing can replace a large volume of activated carbon to neutralize the effects of chlorine on RO membranes.

Average dose of bisulfite diluted to 25 %: 20 to 25 g/m³.
