Synthetic Ionized Alkaline Reduced Water (EIAR)

What is EIAR?

EIAR is produced through a semi-electrolysis process and is entirely artificial. It provides both alkaline water for drinking and acidic water for disinfection. The parameters obtained with EIAR exist nowhere in nature except in 3 or 4 underground slate pockets, the most famous of which is in Brandhloz, Germany, where patients are treated. These values fall outside normal biological ranges and point to its use as therapeutic water rather than water for everyday drinking.

What we think

To our knowledge, long-term consumption of EIAR has been the subject of no scientific or medical studies.

For specialists, EIAR is not ordinary water, but a medicine.

Since there are no official standards for oxidation-reduction potential or rH2, we are left in complete uncertainty about the beneficial or harmful effects of these waters.

Drinking water with an rH2 close to 0 seems absurd to us, since oxidation is a source of life.

In addition, this reduced water provides an environment favorable to bacterial growth.

The mineral composition of these waters is completely unbalanced, since only alkalis remain.

On the other hand, trying to destroy all the free radicals generated by the human body with EIAR is absurd, because our bodies need free radicals to destroy bacteria and viruses during infections. Humans and nature in general need balance, and drinking such water continuously without medical supervision can prove dangerous.

EIAR is not natural pure water, as some sales pitches suggest. Use caution…

A reliable source

Furthermore, in their 2013 article “ Physico-Chemical, Biological and Therapeutic Characteristics of Electrolyzed Reduced Alkaline Water ”, professors Marc Henry and Jacques Chambron of the université de Strasbourg raise serious concerns about wear on the electrodes in these devices, which corrode over time. These platinum-coated electrodes gradually deteriorate and eventually release nanoparticles of this metal, which are highly reactive. These same platinum nanoparticles, emitted by automobile catalytic converters, are currently being scrutinized for their toxicity.

The detailed Henry/Chambron report submitted to the Académie Nationale de Médecine (ANM) calls for health authorities to be alerted to the uncontrolled availability of these devices, which generate medicinal substances and should therefore be sold in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The French version of this publication was read at the Académie des Sciences on April 1st, 2014, and this recommendation from scientific water specialists should not be taken lightly by buyers of such devices.

Still, it should be said that this water may be of interest in certain cases of serious disease that generate large quantities of free radicals, because no radical escapes platinum…
