Portable 300GPD Desalinator
Seawater Desalination Systems
Portable desalinator – 50 L/h
Seawater desalination by reverse osmosis
Introducing our portable reverse osmosis desalinator, designed to produce desalinated water from seawater.
With a capacity of 300 GPD, it delivers a nominal flow rate of 50 liters per hour, or up to approximately 1,200 liters per day under nominal operating conditions.
The manufacturer states a desalination rate of 99.4 to 99.7 %. Treatment combines seawater pre-filtration with high-pressure reverse osmosis to greatly reduce the concentration of dissolved salts.

Transportable design
A compact, all-in-one desalinator
Measuring 610 × 320 × 497 mm, the SW4021 houses the main desalination system components in a single enclosure: pre-filtration, water circuit, high-pressure pump, reverse osmosis, and controls.
Its compact design and weight of approximately 40 kg provide you with a transportable unit suited to moderate production needs for which a fixed industrial installation would be oversized.
The SW4021 can meet needs in marine, coastal, or remote environments, provided the feed water and installation conditions are compatible with the system.
* Desalination rate: value stated by the manufacturer. Actual performance depends in particular on the salinity, temperature, and quality of the feed water.
How does the desalinator work?
Pre-filtration, high-pressure reverse osmosis, and UV treatment
The SW4021 uses high-pressure reverse osmosis to desalinate seawater. Before reaching the membrane, the water passes through several stages designed to protect the system and prepare it for treatment.
The process described by the manufacturer combines pumping, dual pre-filtration, high-pressure pressurization, reverse osmosis, and UV treatment.
STAGE 1
Seawater supply
The feed pump circulates seawater to the pre-filtration system.
STAGE 2
Dual pre-filtration
The water passes through a first and then a second filtration stage to protect the circuit and the reverse osmosis membrane.
STAGE 3
High-pressure pressurization
The high-pressure pump provides the conditions required for the reverse osmosis desalination process.
STAGE 4
Reverse osmosis
The seawater membrane separates the produced water from a large portion of the dissolved salts.
STAGE 5
UV treatment
The process stated by the manufacturer includes a UV treatment stage after desalination.
Desalinated water and concentrate
Reverse osmosis generates two streams: desalinated water on one side and a concentrate with a higher salt content on the other, which must be discharged.
Can you use the produced water for drinking?
The system is designed to produce desalinated water from seawater. For use intended for human consumption, the quality of the produced water must be tested and meet applicable requirements. Additional treatment may be necessary depending on the source water quality and intended use.
Maintenance
Maintenance and membrane for the
Maintain your desalinator's performance
Maintenance helps preserve system performance and reduce fouling of the reverse osmosis membrane.
Pay particular attention to feed water quality, pre-filtration and membrane performance monitoring.
Pre-filtration
Regularly check the condition of your pre-filtration components to protect the membrane.
Performance
Monitor changes in the flow rate and quality of the water produced.
Membrane
Replacement depends on water quality and operating conditions.
Seawater reverse osmosis membrane
The seawater reverse osmosis membrane used is type 4021. According to the supplier documentation we have for this consumable, the recommended replacement interval is approximately 1 to 2 years.
This interval is a guideline and may vary depending on salinity, raw water quality, pre-filtration, frequency of use and operating conditions.

Frequently asked questions about the desalinator
Flow rate, seawater, membrane and use
How much water can the desalinator produce?
The SW4021 has a nominal capacity of 50 L/h, equivalent to 300 GPD or approximately 1,200 liters per day under nominal operating conditions.
Is the desalinator designed for seawater?
Yes. It uses a reverse osmosis membrane designed for desalination. The supplier's specifications indicate a maximum feedwater TDS of 36,000 ppm and an SDI ≤ 5.
What is the desalination rate?
WTEYA states a desalination rate between 99.4 and 99.7 %. Actual performance varies depending on factors such as salinity, temperature and operating conditions.
What membrane does the desalinator use?
The SW4021 uses a type 4021 seawater reverse osmosis membrane.
When should you replace the 4021 membrane?
The supplier documentation we have for this consumable recommends replacement approximately every 1 to 2 years. This interval may vary depending on water quality and operating conditions.
Is the desalinator truly portable?
This is a compact, transportable desalinator measuring 610 × 320 × 497 mm and weighing approximately 40 kg. It is therefore much more compact than a fixed industrial unit, while still requiring suitable conditions for transport and use.
Can you drink the water produced directly?
The SW4021 is designed to produce desalinated water from seawater. For human consumption, the resulting water quality must be tested and meet applicable requirements. Additional treatment may be necessary depending on the source water and intended use.
How does it differ from an industrial desalinator?
The SW4021 prioritizes compact size with a nominal output of 50 L/h. For greater water needs, a professional or industrial unit can deliver higher production flow rates.
