The main advantage of these tanks over our imported models is their flow rate. They withstand pressures up to 8 bar and feature a 1"1/4 inlet / outlet, providing a high flow rate suitable for demanding applications.
The horizontal version comes with the following additional components:
- Support brackets
- Side opening
- Side fitting
Usable tank volume at different operating pressures
The tank's usable volume depends on the system's cut-in and cut-out pressures. The table below shows the actual percentage of water available based on the pressure settings used in your installation.
| Usable volume of the 100 L tank | ||||||||||
| Cut-out / cut-in pressure | 1.5 bar | 2 bar | 2.5 bar | 3 bar | 3.5 bar | 4 bar | 4.5 bar | 5 bar | 5.5 bar | |
| 4 bar | 56% | 46% | 35% | 23% | 12% | |||||
| 4.5 bar | 59% | 51% | 41% | 31% | 21% | 11% | ||||
| 5 bar | 62% | 55% | 46% | 38% | 28% | 19% | 10% | |||
| 5.5 bar | 65% | 58% | 51% | 43% | 34% | 26% | 17% | 9% | ||
| 6 bar | 67% | 61% | 54% | 47% | 39% | 32% | 24% | 16% | 8% | |
| 6.5 bar | 68% | 63% | 57% | 51% | 44% | 37% | 29% | 22% | 15% | |
| 7 bar | 70% | 65% | 60% | 54% | 47% | 41% | 34% | 27% | 21% | |
| 7.5 bar | 71% | 67% | 62% | 56% | 50% | 44% | 38% | 32% | 26% | |
| 8 bar | 72% | 69% | 64% | 59% | 53% | 48% | 42% | 36% | 30% | |
Example: with a cut-out pressure of 7.5 bar and a cut-in pressure of 1.5 bar, the available usable volume reaches 61% of the tank's total volume.
Energy savings and lower operating costs
Thanks to their greater usable volume, Compose It tanks reduce the number of pump starts.
Each start causes a spike in electricity consumption. With a greater usable volume, the pump starts less often, helping you:
- reduce electricity consumption
- limit mechanical wear on the pump
- extend the life of your installation
- reduce overall operating costs
Real-world savings examples
Well 80 m³/month
500 W pump – 60 L tank vs Wellmate 55 L
- 126 kWh/year saved at an equivalent pressure range of 2–4 bar
- Approximately 24 € / year
- 248 kWh/year saved in the 1.5–6 bar range
- Approximately 48 € / year
Well 500 m³/month
900 W pump – 300 L tank vs Wellmate 330 L
- 160 kWh/year saved at an equivalent pressure range of 2–4 bar
- Approximately 30.80 € / year
- 654 kWh/year saved in the 1.5–6 bar range
- Approximately 127 € / year
Over 10 years, the savings become especially significant. In addition, unlike a conventional tank, you do not need to replace the entire tank: only the replaceable bladder can be replaced.
The values shown in the table represent the volume of water available between the pump stopping and restarting. The greater the difference between the cut-out pressure and the cut-in pressure, the greater the usable volume available.
For example, if this tank is connected to a system set to stop at 7.5 bar and restart at 1.5 bar, the tank has a usable volume of 61%.

ConnectionThe tank's outlet fitting has a 1"1/4 male thread. We also supply a 1"1/4 female-to-female flexible hose to make connection easier. This solution has been successfully tested over 24,000 pressure cycles at up to 8 bar. |
