Industrial Remineralization System
Remineralization
Product overview
Calcite is a mineral compound consisting primarily of calcium and magnesium. As it dissolves into water on contact, it increases the water's conductivity (or dry residue) while raising its pH to reduce acidity. Calcite also partially removes CO2, iron, manganese, aluminum, fluorides, and phosphates from water.
It works on the same principle as our Aquacalcium filter cartridge, available as an option for our residential RO systems, but on a larger scale for our industrial RO systems.
We offer 5 different sizes: 10, 15, 25, 35, and 50KG.
Each tank has a fiberglass-reinforced polyester exterior and a food-grade plastic (HDPE) interior to prevent water contamination. We also supply a suitable valve with 3/4" (20/27) inlet and outlet diameters.
What is the difference between a manual and an automatic remineralizer?
The difference between a manual remineralizer and an automatic remineralizer mainly lies in how media regeneration is managed.
On an automatic system, regeneration is controlled automatically, without any action on your part, ensuring optimal and consistent operation over time.
A manual remineralizer requires manual regeneration.
Specifications:
| Reference | CAL010 | CAL015 | CAL025 | CAL035 | CAL050 |
| Media load | 10kg | 15kg | 25kg | 35kg | 50kg |
| Height | 478mm | 810mm | 944mm | 942mm | 1,432mm |
| Diameter | 206mm | 182mm | 206mm | 257mm | 257mm |
| Capacity* | 250m3 | 375m3 | 625m3 | 875m3 | 1,250m3 |
*this capacity is the volume of water for which the system can raise the pH from 5 to 7.5 before needing to be refilled.
Regulating water mineralization and pH is challenging because many factors can affect them: flow rate, pressure, and contact time between the water and calcite. The more slowly water enters the tank, the more minerals it absorbs, up to saturation.
The only way to control the parameters of the water produced is to install a bypass that lets you mix treated water with untreated water.
