Introducing Calcite
Calcite consumption depends on the pH of the water entering the system. For example, to raise the pH from 6 to 7.5, you will need to add 15ppm of CO2 to the water (equivalent to 3 French degrees of purity), resulting in a consumption of 1 kg of calcite per 25m3 of water.
Calcite does not raise the pH above 7.5. If you want more alkaline water, you will need to choose another system.
