Scale buildup reduces the efficiency of a water heater, kettle, or any other appliance that heats water, such as a washing machine or dishwasher.
Over time, this can accelerate wear on the appliance and increase its energy consumption. Limescale deposits can also gradually reduce the performance of water-heating equipment.

How does the resin work?
The resin in this filter releases a specific volume of a substance intended to prevent scale buildup.
This filter does not soften water in the way an ion-exchange resin water softener does. It acts on scale formation through three mechanisms:
- It stops the growth of limescale crystals
- It breaks the crystals down into smaller particles
- It limits their clumping
Additional filtration: the nylon mesh traps sediment larger than 100 microns, such as sand, dust, or rust.
