René Quinton's Marine Plasma

A little background…

René Quinton was a French naturalist, physiologist, and biologist. In the 1900s, he developed a theory about the marine origin and nature of living organisms. At the time, his scientific and therapeutic work and his discovery of the properties of seawater had a considerable impact.

What is it ?

Quinton plasma is not, strictly speaking, drinking water. It is a remarkable remineralizing agent sold in isotonic and hypertonic drinkable ampoules. The synergy between the various elements in seawater enhances its action. It is still collected today in the open ocean, at select locations 30 m deep and at the center of a vortex. Its specialized transport preserves its qualities, and it is still prepared according to the strictest standards reserved for injectable solutions. For additional safety, it undergoes cold sterilizing microfiltration in a cleanroom and is tested to ensure it is pyrogen-free. It contains 83 bioavailable mineral elements and trace elements from Mendeleev's periodic table. The Quinton laboratory performs additional physicochemical checks to detect potential microbial or chemical contaminants (petroleum derivatives, heavy metals, pesticides…) or the level of radioactivity. This range of tests ensures that the serum meets all the criteria of the European Pharmacopoeia, which is not the case for all other seawater brands on the market.

Why drink it?

This marine therapy is a comprehensive cellular nutrition technique supported by more than a hundred years of experience in hospital clinics. Quinton has a colloidal structure. There are more than 300 mg of organic matter per liter of seawater. Minerals and other trace elements are present in seawater in an ionized, directly bioavailable form because they have been digested by the plankton and other microorganisms living in it. This particular seawater interests us greatly because it has other properties that we will explore in another article about RO water.
